Requirements:

Languages: English, Afrikaans.

Education: Secondary school.

Other trades certificate, diploma, or equivalent experience: WSET Level 2 (be advantageous).

Experience:  Vineyard worker and/or wine server: an asset.

Work Setting:

Winery on a farm in a semi-rural area.

Equipment & Machinery:

Fruit harvester, Loader, Tractor

Type of Crops:

Computer and Technology Knowledge:

Tasks:

Clipping, Maintaining and managing the growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes, Mixing fertilizer, Tying, Weeding, Fertilizing and spraying crops, Operate and maintaining farm machinery and equipment,  Advise on wine selection and serving wine. Others.

Field of study:

Wine steward/sommelier: WSET Level 2 minimum) with experience of 7 months to less than 1 year

Work setting:

Clipping, Co-ordinate and supervising the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, developing work schedules and establishing procedures, Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, maintaining quality control and production records, operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment, performing general farm duties, Advise on wine selection and serve wine.
