The Joubert family, originally from South Africa, founded Wesbert Winery in 2019 and garnered an instant reputation for the warm hospitality South Africans are known for.
Situated on the famous Naramata Bench, just outside Penticton, British Columbia, Wesbert Winery is home to a working vineyard cultivating five varieties of grapes to produce its wines. Surrounded by the picturesque hills, valleys, and Okanagan Lake—and just a short walk from Three Mile Beach—Wesbert is ideally located near the road crossing of the Kettle Valley Rail (KVR) Trail, making it a favourite among cyclists and hikers alike. Wesbert Winery offers a wine shop, tasting room, three guest suites, and a terrace with pizzeria where guests can savour a pizza and a glass of wine while enjoying the scenic views.
In producing wines, we do a minimal intervention and let the fruit speak for itself in the expressions and flavours that the fruit was able to give us in the last growing year and let the terroir of the Naramata come out in everything that we do. Wesbert Winery aims to provide well-balanced, full-flavoured wines that will be great for all occasions.
Wesbert Winery consists of two vineyards on the Naramata Bench producing Malbec, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, Gamay, Merlot, Viognier, Pinotage, Gewürztraminer and Cabernet Franc varieties.
